Trip Planning: Nashville

So much of travel is planning. Planning where to go, how to get there, and where to stay and what to do once you get there.  Our next mini trip is coming up in just 8 days. We will be going to Nashville, Tennessee!  Scott has been sent there for work a few times but I have only passed through on my way to somewhere else so I am looking forward to having a couple of days to explore the city.

Much like Little Rock we will only have a couple of days to see Nashville and we want to make the most of it so the current stage of planning is figuring out what to do while we are there. So let’s see, what do we already know about Nashville?

Nashville is known as The Music City and with good reason, The Country Music Hall of Fame and The Grand Ole Opry are just a couple of the many music related locations throughout the city. Top on our list of things to do is another newer music venue, Third Man Records. We are huge fans of Jack White and since he founded the place that one is a no brainer.

A couple of years ago my Mom visited the replica of the Parthenon located right in the heart of Nashville so that is also on our list of things to do.

And just like that we have the backbone of what we are going to do for the couple of days we are in Nashville. I find it best not to plan too much especially when we only have a couple of days. I like to leave time to eat and relax a little as well as fit in that MUST recommendation that will inevitably come from someone in the know as soon as we get there.

Even though we are only going a few hours away from a couple of days I still feel those happy vacation butterflies in my stomach. I can’t wait!!
